After having a piano studio in Baltimore while a student at the Conservatory of the Peabody Institute, Julián has relocated to Chicago and teaches at The Musical Offering  in the suburb of Evanston, IL, and at their private piano studio in Chicago, where they offer remote and in-person lessons for students of all ages and levels of experience.

Julián approaches teaching music as if teaching someone to row a canoe: in the beginning, the student won't have the strength to paddle for long, so the teacher does the bulk of the paddling. As time goes by, the teacher hands over the paddle to the student more frequently and for longer time. The destination is always the same, 

no matter who is paddling.
